"Fuori Campo" risoluzione kubuntu
Finalmente sono riuscito a far andare la mia scheda video (Ati Radeon X800gto) utilizzando i driver dell'installer ati su kubuntu edgy.
il problema si presenta quando vado a selezionare il mio monitor nelle impostazioni hardware e poi imposto la sua risoluzione a 1280*1024 (che sono sicuro essere supportata dal monitor). il mio monitor è un BenQ FP73G. quando riavvio il kde appare l'errore "fuori campo" su schermo nero nel monitor e non riesco più a fare niente. la versione dei driver è la 8.30.03 vi chiedo una mano perchè mi dispiacerebbe tenere la risoluzione bassa com'è ora. sulla guida del monitor non ho trovato nulla. |

a me capita spesso, ho una x600. il problema è con la frequenza verticale che sul mio monitor al massimo può arrivare a 75hz. Devi configurare correttamente il server grafico, cioè xorg.conf, cn il driver giusto. Segui questa guida per installare i driver ATI, nn dovresti avere più problemi
http://wiki.ubuntu-it.org/Abilitare3...eon%28fglrx%29 Fai l'installazione dai repository. A me capita sempre o spesso che quando avvio ubuntu (o anche windows) per un attimo il display si spegne e poi si riaccende....è tutto normale, quindi se lo fa anche a te nn preoccuparti!

non credo sia quello il problema. i driver sono installati, e anche il 3d funziona
il mio monitor accetta 1280x1024 sia a 75hz che a 60hz, ma nessuna delle due modalità funziona. o forse non ho capito cosa intendevi aggiungo che si blocca proprio. nulla da fare. devo staccare la corrente. |

il monitor è quello generico di default quando vado a cambiare il monitor dalle impostazioni di sistema e riavvio iniza a incasinarsi. Codice:

Prova a modificare così il tuo xorg.conf

Il mio xorg è così e va tutto.
