Problema con i Driver
Ho installato BackBox sul portatile ma mi mancano tutti i driver (Audio,Rete,Grafica ecc...) Con Windows li avevo scaricati dal sito e installati ma con Linux non ho idea di come fare in quanto di solito si installavano automaticamente da Kernel, ma questa volta no.... Nella gestione Driver non li trova e non posso scaricarli da terminale perché non funziona ne la scheda del cavo ne la WiFi, cosa posso fare??

neanche la scheda ethernet ?
le periferiche dovresti vederle dal comando: lspci o lspci -v quelle usb da: lsusb p.s. che vedi da: dmesg | grep eth |

No neanche l' ethernet va... ne audio nulla....

L'audio ha un driver caricato (snd-hda-intel). Grafica ovviamente pure, nouveau NVidia open.
I chip Atheros ethernet e wireless no. L'ethernet dovrebbe essere supportato dal kernel 3.10, ma la versione di Ubuntu su cui è basata questa distribuzione è parecchio indietro (3.2.0.60.71). Anche il wireless dovrebbe essere supportato da kernel recenti. Per l'ethernet sono quindi necessari i driver alx. Ho fatto una breve ricerca ma non ho trovato nessuna guida specifica che spieghi come installarli, solo questo thread che mi sembra un minimo accettabile. Per la scheda wireless dovrebbe funzionare quanto suggerito in quest'altra discussione. Ovviamente in assenza assoluta di rete è necessario scaricare in qualche modo le varie dipendenze di compilazione dei driver e copiarle sul sistema di destinazione.

uname -a da distrowatch l'ultima versione di backbox 3.13 sembra che abbia il kernel-3.11 |

la mia versione è di BackBox 3.05... Se metto l'ultima versione dovrebbe installarli il kernel in automatico?
Provo comunque le guide di gimli e vedo se risolvo |
