Problema PC che non si spegne
Salve a tutti,
non se è questa la sezione giusta ma non la trovo per il mio specifico problema. Ho un vecchio pc, un pavilion zd8000 con 2 gb di ram, con installato xubuntu, ultimamente quanco devo spegnerlo o riavviarlo non lo fa, mi chiede la psw per riloggarmi, per spegnerlo devo farlo brutalmente con tasto dell'accensione/spegnimento. Premetto che il pc è stato ripulito dalla polvere e cambiata pasta termica, ma temo che comunque il problema sia dato dall'eccessivo riscaldamento anche se fino a due giorni fa andava tutto bene, ora si presenta subito. se qualcuno puoi aiutarmi anche solo a capire il problema, come fare le verifiche ecc, lo rigrazio |

C'è poco da verificare: la ram e l'hardisk. Se sono funzionanti fai prima a fare un bel formattone e reinstallare. Per testare la ram, fai comparire il bootmanager e scegli memtest, per vedere lo smart dell'hardisk installa ed usa gsmartcontrol.
Il tuo processore (Intel Pentium 4 540) è a 32bit, pur avendo le SSE2, ormai non sono più ufficialmente supportati dal mondo linux. Solo 64bit. Non ci saranno nuove distribuzioni 32bit per le derivate di ubuntu oltre l'attuale 18.04. In futuro valuta altro fra quello che resterà xkè su quel processore non ci potrai montare molto, ammeno che tu non voglia sfegatarti con Gentoo.

C'è Debian, che è a 32 bit.
Più facile di Gentoo perchè è più simile ad Ubuntu, qualcosa a cui sei già abituato. Poi c'è MX Linux versione 32 bit. |

Bravo, reinstalla exnovo. Testa la ram e l'hardisk e poi vediamo.

Lo vedi subito in modalità live-cd/usb se fa lo shutdown o meno.

Scollega un po' il tasto di accensione del case, usa al suo posto il tasto di reset del case.
Aggià è un portatile Hai smontato e rimontato quindi. Prova a riassettare il flat che collega il tasto di accensione alla mobo. |

Dovrei aver risolto, ho smontato il pannellino dov'è situato il pulsante di spegnimento e probabilmente rimaneva incastrato (premuto) , gli ho messo un po' d'olio con un pennellino e ora sembra andare bene, devo stare attento ed essere meno energico nel premere e speriamo che duri

Mah, il problema al pulsante mi pare c'entra poco con quanto hai esposto nel #1 messaggio, mentre può essere la causa nel #7 messaggio. Vedi un po' come và...

^^ benvenuto nel club, a me Linux Mint non fa il shut down nella macchina in firma, mentre il riavvio sì correttamente. E questo da 3-4 release prima o poi mi ci metto ma sono quasi due anni che me lo ripeto e poi non ho mai tempo Al momento faccio io riavvio e alla comparsa del post spengo col pulsante di accensione prova comunque a vedere se uno dei fix proposti dalla ricerca google funziona ciao ciao
