@pelicopter: can you ping the router (IP address 192.168.0.1)?
If not, you could set a fixed IP for the TCP/IP configuration of your PC ethernet card (provided it is the only device connected to the router, by cable). Let's say 192.168.0.2 for IP address and 192.168.0.1 for gateway (probably you have already tried the following steps)

If after the above steps you still can't ping, I suspect your router may be bricked, then you should try following the recovery procedure.

To recover: if after power on, you have the router power blinking, you can reach the router web page at IP 192.168.1.1 (after having fixed your PC eth cad to 192.168.1.2) and there you can flash the router with a new firmware.

Thelast resort is to use the netgear recovery tool (http://www.longview.eclipse.co.uk/ne...y_utility.zip), which unfortunately only works with windows xp so for this purpose you will have to use a VM.
