Luxrender
Luxrender è un motore di rendering unbiased e fisicamente corretto.
Utilizza algoritmi allo stato dell'arte, e produce immagini fotorealistiche
simulando la luce con le equazioni della fisica.
La scena del test

Per questo benchmark farai il rendering di 50 S/p (Samples/pixel)
di questa scena. Il lavoro richiede meno di 10 minuti su una
CPU moderna. Luxrender è ottimizzato per il multithreading e
impiegherà tutta la potenza disponibile sul processore.
Il benchmark è disponibile per Windows e Linux a 32 e 64 bit.
Solo per gli utenti Mac: si deve scaricare una
build ufficiale
da luxrender.net, e aprire la scena
BENCHMARK.Scene.00001.lxs
che sta nei pacchetti scaricabili con i link in questa pagina.

Come fare il benchmark
1 Download
server 1:

Scompattare i file .7z con
7-zip o WinRAR. Su Linux si può installare la libreria
p7zip.
2 Esegui
Windows: BENCHMARK-RUN.bat
Linux: controlla che i file
BENCHMARK-RUN.sh e
luxrender abbiano i permessi di eseguibile,
quindi lancia BENCHMARK-RUN.sh.
Attendi che finisca il rendering. Nella barra di stato del programma si può avere
una stima del tempo necessario.
3 Posta il tuo risultato
Fai uno screenshot + CPU-Z (non necessario per Linux).
Se usate Linux con kernel non standard, indicatelo.
Puoi servirti di qualsiasi servizio di hosting immagini. Se ne cerchi uno, puoi usare
tinypic.

PC multipli in LAN
Una funzione molto interessante è la possibilità di sommare la potenza di calcolo
di più PC di una LAN. Per eseguire il test aprire l'eseguibile di Luxrender sul master.
Sui Slave dovete scaricare la build completa di Luxrender, e aprire Luxconsole col
parametro -s
Quindi sul master nella scheda Network aggiungete gli IP degli slave,
impostate 60 come frequenza di refresh e aprite la scena
BENCHMARK.Scene.00001.lxs
Dovrete compilare la striscetta sopra per ogni pc che avrete usato, mentre non si terrà
in conto il tempo necessario a completare il test ma solo la velocità in kS/s complessiva.
