Ti fai un account, configuri l'host e ti scarichi l'utility per collegare l'ip dinamico che ti fornisce il provider all'hostname dichiarato su Dyndns.

Per gli IP dei pc via internet usa dyndns come ha già scritto Luca. Se il pc è dietro un router devi forwardare la porta di boinc al pc giusto. Forse è il caso di aggiungerlo nella guida questo consiglio :D

hai ragione :muro: mi cospargo il capo di cenere :) ma mi era sfuggita, anche se un'occhiata alla guida l'avevo data.

ho fatto un account su DynDNS, ho scaricato il file ed installato l'updaer etc. etc. e mi pare che da questo punto di vista sia tutto ok.
Ora il problema viene probabilmente nel "forwardare" la porta sul router, che evidentemente non ho fatto bene: se tento di accedere con BoinView al mio host via web mi dice che non è presente alcun client Boinc sull'host selezionato.
Nel router (Netgear DG834G) ho impostato il servizio TCP/UDP sulla porta 31416 poi ho abilitato tutto il traffico in uscita dal PC sotteso (il PC ha IP statico 192.168.....24). Cosa mi manca? Overro cosa ho sbagliato? :D

Ho notato che questa versione di Boinc (scaricato da poco eh) mi rimane sempre connesso ad internet, nonostante nelle preferenze gli abbia detto di connettersi ogni 2 giorni, visto che ho internet gratis solo di sera...
Non solo: appena installato è partito a manetta con WU, benchmark, etc., ma oggi pomeriggio non ne voleva sapere di partire (c' era l' icona di Boinc con il puntino rosso) e non riusciva a collegarsi con il localhost (dovrebbe essere il mio pc?). Adesso è ripartito boh??:wtf: :wtf:

Per la connessione libera solo di sera... no problem!! :read:
Vai al menù Advanced -> Preferences...
Seleziona il tab Network Usage...
Sotto Network Usage Allowed imposti l'ora di inizio e fine che BOINC può usare per connettersi.
Sopra invece puoi anche mettere "Connect about every" a 0, tanto BOINC si connetterà sempre all'interno dell'orario che gli hai dato.
Dai OK e verifichi che tutto funziona. ;)

Il problema del puntino rosso è dovuto al fatto che il BOINC Manager (che mostra le WUs, i progetti, i messaggi, ecc.) non riesce a comunicare con il BOINC Client (che schedula i processi, gestisce la cache, ecc.).

Se sei sotto Windows basta che vai al menù Advanced -> Select computer... e inserisci "localhost"... dovrebbe ripartire...

Altrimenti vai nella cartella di BOINC e fai ripartire a mano "boinc.exe", ridando poi il Select computer...

Oppure, come ti è già successo, chiudi e riparti... :D Funziona sempre!! :asd:

Comunque, il boinc dice che non riesce a connettersi all' host; ho provato le soluzioni suggerite, ma nulla...:( .Nel Task Manager però c'è in esecuzione boinc e boincmngr ( :confused: ); allora li ho terminati (tanto non andava nulla)... beh, da non credere, appena killati, il criceto ha ripreso a scaccolare!!:confused: .

Due anni fa accendevo il pc e lui scaccolava da solo. Spegnevo il pc e lui smetteva. Era più semplice no?:oink: :D

ME ne fà una per volta e ci mette 3 ore...per farne 4-5 insieme come faccio?cosa devo settare?
