Asus Tuf Gaming B660-PLUS WIFI D4 e aggiornamento BIOS
 

Salve a tutti, è uscito da poco un Bios per la scheda madre in oggetto, mi è sorto un dubbio leggendo la descrizione, copio e incollo:

"• Update the Intel microcode to version 0x123, allowing for disabling CEP for improved performance on Intel 14th Gen series processors.
*Disabling CEP for performance enhancement may lead to increased power consumption and temperature. Ensure adequate CPU cooling or use a higher-spec cooling solution;
**Intel CEP function varies by the CPU model. Check Intel specification sheet or contact technical support for details.
Updating this BIOS will simultaneously update the corresponding Intel ME to version 16.1.30.2307v4. Please note after you update this BIOS, the ME version remains the updated one even if you roll back to an older BIOS later.
Before running the USB BIOS Flashback tool, please rename the BIOS file (SB660AD4.CAP) using BIOSRenamer."

E' l' ultima parte la causa del mio dubbio: cosa vuol dire che devo rinominare il file? Io aggiorno da bios tramite EZ FLASH e non uso Flash back tool! Devo rinominare lo stesso? Scusate, la domanda potrà apparire stupida, ma sono confuso, grazie a chi mi risponderà!

Ho ragionato e risolto da solo, aggiornamento eseguito, anche se, mi pare di capire, al contrario di quanto letto in rete, la mia CPU (Core I5 12600K di 12° generazione), non supporta la disabilitazione del CEP.

Non ho idea se funzionerà, ma suggerisco di attendere prima dell'aggiornamento e di inviare un ticket al supporto ufficiale Asus per farli funzionare.
