pci ide bus master (cos'è???)

avevo problemi con la scheda audio (ora risolti con un bel formata ;) ) e l'assistenza della terratec mi ha detto di abilitare il bus mastering da bios.

nel bios ho trovato la voce pci ide bus master e era disabilitata, l'ho abilitata e non è cambiato niente.

chi mi spiega cos'è e cosa avrebbe dovuto aver a che fare con la scheda audio?

PCI bus mastering enables a controller connected to the PCI bus to communicate directly with other devices on the bus without going through the CPU.

If bus mastering is not enabled, your audio card must use an IRQ to get attention from the CPU and this takes time.

You need to install the driver version designed for your particular Chipset/Motherboard. Consult the motherboard manufacturer.
