Netgear WN3000RP Universal wi-fi Range Extender: impossibile connettersi!!

Salve a tutti.
Da 1 anno e mezzo possiedo il Netgear WN3000RP cioè un Extender Range del wi fi. L'ho acquistato essenzialmente perché ho un piano scoperto dove volevo estendere la portata del mio modem wi fi Fastweb.
Tutto è andato liscio come l'olio fino a che Fastweb non mi ha sostituito il modem (prima avevo il FastModem) con quello "Fibra Ready" cioè il Technicolor TG788 che ho tutt'ora ma che uso solo con ADSL in attesa di migrare a Fibra, dicono loro, entro la fine dell'estate....
Adesso il range extender non mi si collega piu' al modem Fastweb, sia se premo il tasto "wps" presente sia sul modem che sul range extender e aspetto 4 minuti, sia se vado sulla configurazione via broswer, in quanto il broswer non mi carica piu' la pagina "www.mywifiext.net" per, appunto, configurarlo. Non c'è verso di contattare il numero verde Netgear, in quanto facendolo, si sta le ore al telefono e non ti rispondono mai , facendoti ascoltare il disco con la musichetta!!
Insomma, possibile che debba buttare sto range extender che ancora adesso costa ben 69 euro???!!:mad: :mad:
Non riesco proprio a capire dove sbaglio.....sto diventando pazzo co' sto wi fi extender.....ho connesso Ipad/Smartphone/pc di tutta la famiglia al modem wi fi "Fibra ready" di fastweb ma, nonostante immetta la password uguale per tutti, il range extender Netgear NON mi fa accedere alla sua rete che ha come finale "_EXT!!!!!!!:muro: :muro:
Nessuno di voi possiede sto Netgear WN3000RP???????

è probabile che l'ISP abbia disattivato il tasto WPS per ragioni di sicurezza.
Spegni il modem fastweb e configura autonomamente l'extender settandogli i parametri della rete wifi del modem fastweb (sempre tenendo quest'ultimo spento).
Riaccendi il modem fastweb e riavvia l'extender.

L altro ieri mi è arrivato il wn 3500 rp wifi extender n600 pagato 79 euro e anch'io ho lo stesso problema non riesco ad interfacciarlo con il dgnd 3700 v1 non c'è verso di farlo connettere le lucine sull extender relative ai 2.4ghz e 5 ghz non si accendono....non dico che sto quasi sclerando ma poco ci manca....per la prima fase di configurazione l extender e a 10 cm dal modem eppure mi da solo l 86% del segnale....mio dio cosa devo fare ??? Intanto seguo il consiglio dell utente di cui sopra è vi tengo aggiornati...

Scusa non ho ben capito: se io spengo il modem Fastweb, come faccio a configurare l'extender?Spegnendo il modem non ho nessuna wi-fi.
Tu forse intendi tramite il cd di istallzione contenuto nella confezione?Quindi devom inserirlo nel pc e poi configurarlo...ma ripeto, essendo spento il modem Fastweb come faccio a fargli riconoscere la rete wi fi se non c'è?:confused:
E infine, ti garantisco che prima , mio nipote che ha l'Ipad, bastava (senza spegnere niente) lanciare il broswer da Ipad e configurare l'extender ovunque senza bisogno di alcun cd!!Boh.....io nel frattempo sto facendo il numero verde della Netgear da ore!!!!Tu guarda se rispondono!!!!!!!!!!!!:muro:

Ext poi apri il browser e ti fa configurare l extender dove in teoria ci dovresti mettere i dati del tuo modem.. Alla fine si riavvia l extender ed il gioco è fatto... La cosa brutta che a me alla fine dice che l extender non è stato in grado di connettersi al mio modem... Boooo ooooooo cose da pazzi

E Ciao Cmq che io sappia non c'è bisogno che il modem sia accesso., quando lo metti nella corrente e dai scansione reti wifi ti trova subito la rete . Ext poi apri il browser e ti fa configurare l extender dove in teoria ci dovresti mettere i dati del tuo modem.. Alla fine si riavvia l extender ed il gioco è fatto... La cosa brutta che a me alla fine dice che l extender non è stato in grado di connettersi al mio modem... Boooo ooooooo cose da pazzi

No guarda io avendo Fastweb ho bisogno della corrente....non so tu ma Fastweb ha bisogno sempre dell'alimentazione!Se va via la luce ad esempio non ho nessun servizio compresa la linea telefonica fissa!!!!!

Si ho Telecom....ma che c'entra. Qnd metti l extender nella corrente e fai scansione reti wifi sicuro ti da una rete .ext Sicuro guarda xché sul mio extender fa così.....sta di fatto che a entrambi non funge!!!

Ciao a te guarda che è esattamente quello che ho già fatto! Me la trova la rete con finale _EXT ma poi se premo il tasto wps su entrambi i dispositivi (range extender e modem Fastweb) contemporaneamente non succede nulla!! Invece prima quando avevo l altro modem Fastweb , bastava fare così e non c'era nemmeno bisogno di inserire la password né di riconfigurare tutto il papiro daccapo sia via cd che via browser! ! Ad ogni modo ho mandato una mail al supporto tecnico netegear !!

Come da prove effettuate con l'amico Artik73, con wndr3700 l'extender funziona perfettamente, mentre con il modem router in suo possesso non c'e' verso.
Presumo dall'esperienza di tasto2023 che il problema siano i modem e non di certo gli extender se nel caso di tasto2023 andava perfettamente e nel caso di artik73 che con il mio router va alla grande.
Sentite il supporto Netgear unica soluzione.

Mi sembre che ci sia un'equivoco, ma la rete che finisce in _ext, non è quella in uscita al range extender?

Faccio un esempio: io ho come modem un netgear dgnd4000 e come extender un WN3000RP, il nome della rete del modem è xxxxxxx00, mentre quella dell'extender è xxxxxxx00_EXT e funziona benissimo.

Io l'extender l'ho configurato manualmente senza usare il tasto WPS, e non mi ha dato nessun problema

Hai provato a resettarlo con il tastino Factory Reset?

Si Carlo corretto, il problema e' che il wn3500rp di Artik73 provato a casa mia con wndr3700 funziona alla perfezione estendendo la mia rete wifi.
A casa sua ponendo l'extender a 50 cm dal suo dgnd3700 non c'e' verso di farlo funzionare.

Pure secondo me ci deve essere qualcosa nel nuovo modem che Fastweb mi ha sostituito che non va col Netgear!!

Prova a seguire questa guida...



There are actually 2 ways where you can setup this extender. Either the manual process or using the WPS. As what you have indicated, you were having some problems with the WPS setup. So I suggest if you could do the manual setup instead.

Before doing the setup, I would also suggest if you could perform factory reset on the unit. While it is plugged in, kindly press and hold the reset button for a minute then unplug it from the power outlet and plug it back after 30 seconds.

1. Once the Extender is powered on and the Status LED is green, on your wireless PC, try to connect to NETGEAR_EXT (SSID) wireless network. After the connection with the PC is established, the PC to Extender LED turns green. Next, you need to connect the Extender to your existing Wi-Fi network.

2. Open a web browser window from the same PC, and the browser should take you directly to the on-screen setup guide. Or, you can always access the Extender settings by typing www.mywifiext.net in your browser URL bar


3. The web browser setup guide walks you through the following steps:

• Selecting the Wi-Fi network you would like to extend.
• Entering the security passphrase for the existing network. (Please make sure to enter your wireless security key properly). If your wireless security key is under WEP, please put this information on the Key 1 box and not on the Passphrase box. If its under WPA/WPA2, kindly just enter it on the Passphrase box.
• Choosing the name for your new Extender network. After this process, it will then ask you now to connect on your new extender's wireless network
• Connecting your wireless devices to your new Extender network.

4. Once your computer is successfully connected to your new extender's network, kindly complete the setup and check if you could establish a connection this time.
