per quanto concerne la personalizzazione, sembra che non sia possibile: lo store americano su cui l'ho acquistato mi ha confermato che le configurazioni cosi' come siglate non possono essere vendute con hardware differente altrimenti, anche facendole uscire variate fin dal negozio, si invaliderebbe la garanzia.
Un altro grande negozio americano che offre spedizione anche internazionale, contattato in merito alla disponibilità dei notebook mi ha risposto in questo modo:

Xotic PC permette di eseguire customizzazioni del notebook anche con SSD (e in tal caso il prezzo converrebbe essendo in $ (io ho pagato il G2 Intel da 80Gb 230 euro mentre su questo store può essere aggiunto per lo stesso importo ma espresso in dollari...)) e skins come segnalato qualche post addietro ma ha prezzi più elevati della media (anche se spedisce tramite UPS quindi potenzialmente si arginerebbe il rischio dogana).
Attendo ancora questa settimana dopodichè qualora il mio ordine fosse ancora on-hold, annullo e ordino nuovamente ma da quest'ultimo in modo tale da far signare anche il notebook.
